obligatory end of 2010 post

Dear 2010,

First off: Fuck you.

Secondly: If the universe ever gives me a year harder than you, I’ll think about forgiving you….but don’t hold your breath. 

Next: I would like to take a chance to formally list the things about you I hate the most.

• thanks for the worst heartbreak of my life. i learned so much. hey justin, you can eat shit because you are a terrible human being.
• bad economy? hardly noticed when I got laid off on Jan 1.
• i love moving, so i’m super glad i got to do it twice.
• my mom really needed that cancer scare, as if battling ana isn’t hard enough.
• worst Thanksgiving on record.
• best friend moves away to NYC only to have her heartbroken and I move her back here (selfishly, I’m THRILLED she’s back)
• my father sealed the deal on our relationship: it’s over - you are a cold man, sir.
• the first three months of you were a winter tundra. i hate winter.
• i only went to the beach once. for one day. fail. and i got a sunburn.
• the 5 unmentionable mistakes.

And thennn: you do have a *few* redeeming qualities:

• I was accepted into UNC to earn my MSW. Thx.
• I lost 30ish pounds.
• I got to be an arts & crafts counselor at Victory Junction Gang Camp
• I saw The Weepies in concert
• Best Birthday on Record
• My best friend now lives 15 minutes from me as opposed to 9 hours :0)
• I crossed NYC off my bucket-list of places to visit.

You best hope that 2011 is much nicer than you. much.much. nicer.
